kamryn elena mason wasn't the dating type of person. in fact, she had only dated at least three guys in her whole life, one being when she was five years old, having no exact idea on what the hell she was doing at the time. she had thought she was going to marry that boy she met at the playground, but he ended up moving away several days into their 'relationship'. just because kamryn didn't date guys didn't mean she didn't know what she was doing. she did perfectly fine in relationships, it was just the guy's fault. she was attracted to the asshole type of guys, and she wasn't exactly sure why it was. maybe it was their mysterious attitude or their bad ass looks. whatever it was, it always got kamryn love struck, and days, weeks or months later, kamryn would be walking out with a broken heart. she opened herself up way too easily, which was one of her problems. right away, she would trust them off the bat without getting to know them. she didn't get to know them for who they were. instead, she got to know their bad quite well. guys basically used her, then threw her out to the curb when they were finished with her. after all of that, kamryn ended up putting up a wall. it took a lot to get to know her, especially if you were a guy. if you were willing to wait around for her wall to come down, then that's when she knew that you were interested, instead of just being interested of getting her into your bed.
it was the first time in a few months that kamryn mason was actually going out for a date, and the guy was definitely checked off the whole asshole list. he seemed like a decent guy; quirky, sweet and he had a sense of humor. that's what made kamryn want to go out with him. if any guy could make her laugh right off the bat, then they at least deserved a chance. they had met at the beach on kamryn's day off, and they instantly hit it off. he was quirky, and he seemed somewhat nervous, but that just amused kamryn. after awhile, he had asked her out, and kamryn agreed to it. although, she had told him that she might be running a few minutes late, since she had to go to a meeting with her agent and a few designers, but she was going to show up. kamryn wouldn't miss it for the world.
a black suv pulled up to gotham steak, one of kamryn's favorite restaurants. she opened up the passenger door of her agents car and got out, adjusting her mini, purple plaid dress, before quickly thanking her agent for driving her. they were running later then expected, so he had offered to drive her over instead of driving her back to her house to get her car. kamryn brushed her brownish-red bangs out of her face, before quickly entering the restaurant. she went up to the hostess, gazing behind her for christopher. "uhm, for..wesson?" she paused for a few seconds, trying to remember his last name. the hostess nodded and pointed to the table that chris was sitting at. kamryn nodded, as a thank you, before walking over to the table chris was sitting at, a grin on her face. "hey, stranger," kammy cheerfully spoke, before pulling out the chair and sitting down across from him. "sorry that i'm late. things were running behind and i tried to get out of there as fast as i could.."

Chris hadn't been on a date in...well maybe never. The 'dates' that you went on in middle school and your fresman year of high school that you went on with all your friends or your parents. Like a real date with asking someone out and going to a nice resturant. He thought hard about I as he sat at the table and awaited his date. Was this really his first date? He had never dated anyone in high shool or in college. Was he that big of a loser? Holy shit, Chris was already nervous and that realization made him a lit more nervous. He had no idea how to act on a date. Well, this date was going to go up in smoke. Terrific. he thought. He was in way over his head and he was just now realizing it. He should have realized it a lot earlier though. Chris should have actually realized it when he met Kamryn on the beach. He thought she was so beautiful. He was getting off of his shift and she was on her day off and she was lounging in the sun. Chris couldn't help but stare at her. She looked amazing. He was picking up umbrellas and trip right by her. She had helped him up and they had jut hit it off. She had thought, for whatever reason, that his awkwardness was cute. Or at least that's what it seemed like, obviously. He was waiting on her in a resturant, wasn't he?
The menu was sitting in front if him and he was fiddiling with it. He was getting kind of antsy waiting on Kamryn. She had said that she would be a little late, which was fine with Chris. He'd wait all night for her. The waiter came to his table asking if he wanted anythig to drink. This was like the second time he had came. Chris just got a water. Right as the waiter stepped out if the way, Chris spotted her. She looked great in her mini dress. Wow, she just looked gorgeous. As Kamryn approached the table, Chris awkwardly stood up. He wasn't sure why he did. He thought it was polite, maybe, he wasn't sure. He was going to pull out her chair when she started to speak. "Hi. You look terrific, Kamryn." he said smiling. When she sat down, Chris sat down too. He nodded as she apologized for running late. "It's fine. I understand." he said to her. Chris began to skim through the menu. "Order whatever you want, I'm buying." he said to her. He wasn't trying to sound like he had money, he just wanted to be polite. In the end he added, "If that's ok with you, anyways." he said and he looked up at her and smiled. Eh, that was kind of childish. Crap. He really didn't want her to think that he was a childish loser, which she probably would before the night was over and never want to talk to him again.

modeling wasn't that hard of a thing for kamryn too do. most people always said she was born to be in front of the camera, and after awhile, kamryn started to believe it. although, being a model wasn't the first occupation she had wanted. growing up, she had always wanted to be a nurse, but that idea flew out the window when she moved out to los angles for a few years, to give the whole modeling idea a shot. although, she had no intention of actually going through with it. why? because kamryn didn't exactly think she had what it took to be a model in the first place. although, she was proved wrong when she was signed right away to a few fashion labels and such. she started out on the runway, which wasn't something she actually enjoyed. but, if it got her name out there, then hey, what the heck. you have to give some to get some, right? although, that was just when she was nineteen. now, here she was; twenty four years old and making her way up from the runway scene. sure, she still did a little runway here and there, but she enjoyed being photographed more, and posing and just having fun. that's why her agent booked her more ad jobs, just because it was something she could enjoy more. on the runway, you mostly had to be serious, and anyone who knew kamryn knew she was the farthest from being a serious person. sure, she could do it easily, but it just sucked the joy out of what she really wanted to do.
kamryn pulled a small smile onto her face as she sat across from christopher. if it were any other guy, she'd be panicking right about now, wondering if she should of actually showed up or not. worried if they were going to hurt her in the end. but, chris was different. she could already tell that she was going to have an excellent evening, and the date hadn't exactly even started yet. "hi. you look terrific, kamryn." kamryn could feel her cheeks burning a soft pink. there just had to be something about him, since kamryn was never the type of person to blush over a compliment like that. "why, thank you," she replied, with a soft nod. "you don't look too bad there yourself, handsome," she complimented, letting out a soft chuckle as she picked up the menu in front of her, flipping it open to the first page. the one think kammy hated about coming a restaurant? deciding on what the hell she should eat. she was horrible at making decisions, and the descriptions on the dish didn't exactly help her make up her mind. in her opinion, it would of been much better to have a damn image next to every dish you could order. that way, you could at least have an idea of what you were going to be eating. kamryn quickly arched an eyebrow as she looked over at christopher. "what a gentleman," she said, pulling a smile onto her face afterwords. "you sure about that, though? i mean, i wouldn't mind paying half of it if you wanted me to..?" typical kamryn. she always felt bad when someone had to pay for something that was partially hers.
