this little girl was alone in the worldUNTIL SHE FOUND A WAY TO GET A FIX FOR FREE OH PRETTY PLEASE IT BREAKS MY HEART TO SEE ANOTHER TRAGEDY-- -- -- -- -- -- -- These… things weren’t… her thing. Margaux didn’t really mix well with bonfire stuff. Hanging out in crowds like this; but the soup kitchen she liked to work at… they wouldn’t let her work tonight. They actually forced her to go have fun. Even if this wasn’t what she considered to be fun, she had no way to get out of it. She sighed heavily, dressed a little nicely with a wrap to keep her warm (even though Miami was really warm at night, Margaux was used to the heat of Brazil, and to her, Miami’s heat was cool. She looked around the beach, watching the fire from a little way down the beach. She wasn’t really… sure if joining the group and stuff was such a good idea. She didn’t know a lot of people and tended to be anti-social because she had anxiety. What if they didn’t like her? What if they laughed at her? She ran her fingers through her hair, biting her lip nervously. She started walking towards the fire, hesitating when she got just outside the group of people. She ran her fingers through her brown hair and looked around. Really… she didn’t recognize anyone, but then again she was fairly new, and pretty much spent her entire time volunteering – clearly none of these kids cared for that kind of stuff.
She quietly sat down to the side, a little near the fire so she could stay warm. She pulled her legs up so she was in the fetal position and rested her head on her knees, eyes staring into the fire. She wasn’t really… intrigued by fire, she’d seen her share of large burns, she just hoped if she stared at the fire long enough people would think she was weird and not try to talk to her. It wasn’t that she didn’t want to make friends, it was just the fact that she… wasn’t sure if people would like her. She’d rather not take a chance… and be friendless than be rejected by others. (Rejection was her own worst enemy). For some stupid reason, she started to hum. There was a song stuck in her head an American song, by some crazy little band… what were they called? Cobra Starship? They were pretty awesome, weirdly.

I THOUGHT IF I COULD TOUCH THIS PLACE OR FEEL IT It was James' only day off this week and he was spending it at a carnival and then once night was to fall, at a bonfire. Chances were, things would get pretty fun for the twenty-four year-old officer of the law. It wasn't as if he was working; he didn't need to look professional nor did he require to seem all high and mighty in his uniform and badge tonight. He would take advantage of this, reacquaint himself with old friends and meet new ones. The day had been spent pretty lazily. James had mingled with people, enjoyed the carnival rides and basically had been a civilian of Miami again. Honestly, it hadn't been all that great. He expected the night to be different though, what with alcohol and a nightly, party feel to everything.
The beach was beautiful at this time though, with the fire in the distance and the people laughing and dancing. James watched from a few feet away, his first beer of the night in hand, not even half empty at this point. Honestly, he wasn't much of a drinker, rarely getting drunk. One beer could last him for a few hours at the most, and it usually took at least six or seven before he couldn't see clearly anymore or walk in a straight line. Tonight he would probably stick to two, so that he wouldn't make too big of a fool of himself after a mere week back in Miami. He didn't exactly want to lose his job just yet. As he watched the fire, the people, the party, he couldn't help but stray a little toward the outer circle. A woman, late teens to early twenties, dark brown locks, was sitting by herself, watching the fire as if her life depended on it. Without much of a second thought, the young man approached her with a friendly grin on his face. When he got close enough, he could hear her humming a familiar tune. He wasn't quite sure by whom the song was, nor did he know the actual lyrics, but he did recall having heard it.
"Hello," he said with another one of his grins, a somewhat goofy one at that. He wasn't a shy guy, never afraid to meet new people and make new friends. That was probably the reason why he'd walked up to her in the first place. She seemed to be new around here, probably somewhat alone in the city. She also seemed like the type who wasn't about to approach people and join the group. "Mind if I sit?" he asked her friendlily.
Hello MARGAUX. This is for you. James is wearing THIS and is rocking it. Oh, and this lovely post has 434 WORDS [/b]. Enjoy![/center][/blockquote]

this little girl was alone in the worldUNTIL SHE FOUND A WAY TO GET A FIX FOR FREE OH PRETTY PLEASE IT BREAKS MY HEART TO SEE ANOTHER TRAGEDY-- -- -- -- -- -- -- Margaux tucked her legs closer to her body (if that was even possible) And yawned half way through humming. She hadn’t really been paying attention to her surroundings when she heard someone say hello. At first, she thought it was someone who was talking to someone else – no reason for her to look up, but when the voice spoke again, her hazel eyes fluttered from the fire to the male’s face. The brunette brushed some hair from her face, momentarily blushing only because someone was talking to her, not to someone else, but to her. It took her a moment to capture her voice. She really was caught off guard. She stared up at the guy for a second, then cleared her throat and nodded, a sort of rapid, embarrassed manner, since she had been utterly quiet for… oh two minutes? “Y-yea,” she managed to choke out. She unfolded her legs a little, loosened how tightly knit they were. She glanced at the male from the corner of her eyes, sinking her teeth into her lip.
Now what? Well, she wasn’t really… the socializing type, yet she volunteered all the time at homeless shelters – and talked to those people. What was so intimidating about… a guy? Just another average guy; its not like just because he’s dressed nicely and owns a house or something that he’s any different from the homeless people right? He had to have a decent personality. Her eyes found the beer in the male’s hand, her nose scrunched slightly. She wasn’t fond of alcohol. It was just one of those things that always bothered her. She was the type to lecture about how the liver reacts to alcohol, and how alcohol can lead to death. No one usually listened to her though. They liked to pretend she was an idiot and down talk her. And scorning the man for his choice in beverage was… not a good first impression. It’d make her look rude and bitchy. She wasn’t rude and bitchy, she really wasn’t… she tried to convince herself in her mind that she was a nice girl at least. “What brings you to this corner of the… bon fire?” She kinda mumbled out, it might’ve been more than a mumble – maybe a whisper with some mumbling mixed in. She turned her head and looked at the male, her eyes examining him. Just making sure he wasn’t a creeper, and thank god when she was done – she had confirmed in her mind that he was not, in fact, a creeper and quite safe to sit around.
