Miranda wrinkled her nose in that adorable, childish way she'd always gotten her way with as his jaw dropped, and his eyes bulged. He was used to seeing her in a metallica t-shirt, jeans and converses, but she wasn't aware wearing something that actually made her look like she was a female before she took off the clothes would have such a big effect on people, especially her boyfriend. "You like?" Her eyes were taunting and full of teasing energy, and as he continued to toss the salad, his eyes remained glued to her, giving a sarcastic answer in response to her worries.
She pushed herself lightly from leaning against his door frame, walking in a cat like strut toward his kitchen counter where he was hard at work. "Well, that's a good thing, sweetie bunches, because..other wise we'd have a problem.." She cut off her sentence in order to pick at his unfinished salad. She hadn't eaten all day in the rush of running out the door to school, and then there was the make up test for English she'd had to make up right before rushing off here. In the speed of the day, the only thing that had run through her body was coffee, the godly brown liquid she could have lived off of. "Because..I gotta tell you..I don't think I have the equipment for that."
With that having been said, Miranda's eyebrow raised slightly while a devious smirk painted itself across her soft lips. It wasn't hard for anyone to figure out where her lingering eyes had wandered off to. It was the one part of his body she hadn't seen today that she was craving. She dazed off for only a moment, slipping into a fantasy. He'd been volunteering as a firefighter in town, and she found herself having fantasies about it all too often, more often than she should have been. It would start off with Kemp doused from head t toe in ashes and sweat, walking out of a building who's fire he'd just put out. Everything would play in slow motion as he lifted his hat from his head, stripping his coat off until his smooth, muscularly ripped chest was revealed beneath the suspenders holding his pants up. His chest was glistening in similar sweat to his forehead, and he walked into a stream of water flowing from the hose she was holding, pointing it directly at him to cool him off. She was wearing a shord red dress, low cut with her cleavage bigger than it actually was, popping out of the dress while she watched him lower his suspenders, his perfect skin no longer glistening in sweat but in cool water in the burning sun's light. The dress didn't stand in the way of him pushing her against the fire truck and having his way with her after she'd droped the hose in heated passion, letting the cool water flow down the black concrete of the ground.
Miranda felt heated as she popped a cherry tomato into her mouth ripping her gaze from his lower half, to his upper, staring directly into his eyes, silky pools of melted, milk chocolate, and smiling in attempts to cover up her horny thoughts. She wasn't your typical female. She thought about sex more often than she should have, and enjoyed it even more. She was never the girl to tease or withdraw sex for bad behavior. She would never turn it down or claim to not be in the mood. She was always up for a good time, and she believed it was that very thing that drew Kemp to her. She was beginning to worry though, that if she continued to be so promiscuous, Kemp would move on to a girl with more emotion, eventually. He'd fall in love with a girl he could see himself starting a family with instead of just a girl who loved sex. She was emotional, and she had heart. She was caring and she listened. Miranda was caring, and always tried to put other before herself, help them and lend them some good advice when the time called for it. She was loving and innocent. She was so many things she could never see in herself, and while other girls would spread their legs to hold on to a relationship that would never last, she was trying to figure out how to close hers. She was so afraid of losing one of her best friends, and she found herself holding on tightly every day.
Kemper had been Miranda's first kiss, and while it had always been for childish reasons, it had meant something, whether the both of them wanted to admit it or not. Miranda was sorry he hadn't been her first lover, but as far as falling completely in love went, she'd felt that almost instantly with him. With every quirk and imperfection, Miranda found herself falling more in love with the idiotic hick. He was the bad boy in town, but for once, she wasn't the good girl trying to get under her father's skin. She was the rebellious girl who found his fingers laced just right with hers. He'd been so in sync with her the whole time. Through Mia and Alex, he'd always been the one who could understand her almost as much as her sister and brother.
Saddened lavender eyes looked down at the counter, tracing imaginary designs with a finger while she let herself get lost in thoughts, ripping herself apart for all the wrong reasons. It was what she was good at. She bit down on her bottom lip, gently, and continued the conversation, knowing two things. One, he was going to see right through her facade, as he always had, and two, he was going to call her out on her bluff. "What about Ray? She could walk in. I'm sure seeing her big brother in only an apron is not top on her priorities list" She grinned, putting on the best poker face she could muster up with a giggle and a grin. They'd only been officially together for a year, but they'd had a whole lifetie before that where they'd meant something to each other, where every moment counted, and how, in her mind, they belonged together.
It was a mask, simply a facade of a broken girl, a broken girl Kemp had helped put back together. She could still remember him telling her he was with Mia because her folks were out of town when she called him in the middle of the night in hysterics because her mother had somehow managed to slip past the wall she'd put up in her mind. She'd attacked her again and insulted her. She'd broken her down to a mere nothing, and in the midst of tears and cold sweats, it wasn't Alex she'd called, it was him, and it was him that had come running to her rescue in the middle of time with his girlfriend to rescue her, to hold her in his arms until she'd fallen back asleep and greet her with a smile when she awoke with the sun shining through her window. It had always been him. He was her best friend, and now that she was his girlfriend, she stepped on eggshells everyday to keep it that way. It was her worst fear now, losing him. She's turned into a love sick puppy with a high school girl crush, and she was terrified of losing her best friend. "Do I smell..eggplant?"
Her grin only grew wider, a more convincing mask covering her insecurities and fears. Relationships had ended on a lot more at stake, and it was all of the negative thoughts that kept her heart racing and tightened the knots in her stomach, multiplied the butterflied weaving in and out of them. "I am so starved"
According to Kemp, they were alone for the night, and possibly the weekend, and so with that, she perked up, and skipped out of the kitchen with a look on her face that screamed trouble and fun at the same time. It was only a few minutes later she'd gotten the stereo system in his family room to work. Loud, upbeat music blasted from it, a party mix she'd made a while ago that she was surprised to find sitting, all ready to play, in the system. It didn't take her long to dance her way back into the kitchen, singing. "If you're alone and you need a friend! Some one to make you forget your problems! Just come along baby, take my hand! I'll be your lover tonight."
Miranda had a humorous side to her every once in a while. It was no lie that the girl love to have a good time, and while she did love sex, her world didn't revolve around it. It was no secret that Miranda was the best dancer in at least twelve different states. She'd been in competitions and recitals all of her life. She'd dance with some of the world's best and most well known dancers. She was literally the dancing queen, and while she didn't have the most amazing voice, she did sing well, when she wanted to. The beat of the music sparked a glimmer in her eyes as she danced and sang around his kitchen, making her way over to the naked chef. "C'mon, baby, dance with me."
Kemp wasn't a dancer. He'd never been. He was a bit uncoordinated and just a smidge clumsy, but he was more sophisticated and fun than people gave him credit for. As much as she loved her idiotic, hick, badboy of a boyfriend, she also enjoyed listening to him play his piano, a talent not everyone would have placed him with, and from time to time, Miranda would be able to get a dance or two out of the boy while no one was watching. She was hoping today would be one of those days, as she continued to sing along to the music, holding her hands out for him to follow in her lead. "Boom boom boom boom! I want you in my room! Let's spend the night together, from now until forever!..."
