Set in Bayfield, Ontario, Once is a literate, modern fantasy roleplay. We place emphasis on good, creative writing, and character driven plotlines. We have a small, friendly community of roleplayers with a healthy sense of irony. Rules are kept to the minimum possible - while we need order, we want everyone to have room for their creativity.
Once focuses on shades of grey, and often deals with a variety of serious topics, usually with a touch of humour.
We have no overarching storyline but players often get together to create plots.
Bayfield is a bustling metropolis like any other, but under the mundane urban surface it teems with all sorts of magical creatures, living in secret. Fairies, witches, demons, and gods walk the city streets.
