-----brett paige kite didn't really fit in at seattle, you could say. she was used to the luxury and high class of the upper east side, and let's just say everybody's laidback attitude here was a change she wasn't quite used to yet. that didn't mean there was less scandal here though. if anything, it was kicked up several notches. she was already known as the cold-hearted bitch who was only interested in herself, but that was hardly true. trust issues had gotten the better of her; brett never allowed herself to become close to someone. it just couldn't happen anymore. everytime she did, someone ended up screwing her over. and she wasn't going to be the victim anymore. if anything, she was brett paige kite. what people thought wasn't of much importance to her anymore. it was a new day in december. brett didn't have anything down on the agenda which was pretty surprising, to be honest. she always busied herself with planning social events; shopping; AP courses in college; and then wasting the night away at night clubs. everything around her was a blur. the twenty year old didn't pay attention to her surroundings. which might have been a good thing because in the afternoon, after a morning of watching audrey hepburn movies and eating lady godiva chocolates, she found herself in the pike place market.
-----with house keys and bag in one hand, the girl started to wonder why she had come here in the first place. maybe it was her subconcious trying to remind her about the bare pantry shelves in her home. either way, she wasn't complaining, because as soon as she entered the doorway a thousand items called for her attention. this is what she loved about the market. sure, she was a little out of place, but you never really knew what you came across. brett had a shopping basket in hand, passing by groups of teenage girls conversing and giggling about the latest gossip. it was always the same thing around here, and granted it was a little tiring.
-----most of the time brett got bored of this town, even though there was always a rager going around somewhere and rumors were something that didn't seem to stop. they mostly revolved around those goody two shoes, though. virgins. brett hated those frigid bitches who complain and bitch about how disgusting she was and how sex was a sacred act that should be experienced with the person you love, wait until marriage and it will be perfect. shut the fuck up and get laid already. she wasn't always like that, in fact didn't consider herself a whore at all, but let's just say brett lived her life to the fullest, no regrets and no attachments. no thinking about the past or the future, just the moment. some people learned to find this and her sarcastic humor endearing instead of irritating, but then again that was rare. but she could be your best friend when you got to know her; in fact, she was a good person at heart, with good intentions. but you never know where you end up.
-----brett was glad she had chosen not to wear heels and had opted for a pair of flats instead. this place was extremely crowded and trying to walk through it would be a pain in the ass, and she knew those jimmy choos she had been considering would've been destroyed by now. she hummed to herself, wondering if she'd come across anyone she knew here. the chances of that were slim, considering the girl preferred only two or three people around this place anyway. bright hazel eyes glanced down at a bag of reeses pieces. to resist or not to resist. it was a tough choice. smoke drifted from the ciggerate of the guy standing next to her, and she was suddenly craving a cancer stick herself. even though second-hand smoke was no fun. with a final sigh of defeat, she dropped the bag of reeses into her basket. it was probably the only thing she'd get the chance to buy. with more and more people pouring in, brett kite was starting to wonder if this day was truly ever going to come out better then she thought.
