Over 300 years ago one of America's most mysterious and gruesome events took place near Boston, Massachusetts, the Salem Witch Trials. Now, centuries later, a new cult calling themselves the Salem Witches have sprung up around Boston. They began harmless enough, made up of college students and a few upperclassmen still in high school, but recently members of this mysterious group have been showing up brutally murdered and people are baffled. The police have hit a dead end in their investigations. Little is known about this highly secretive cult and, despite the deaths that can't be directly linked to the cult, more and more people are joining. The police have no idea who's a cult member and who isn't because now, like three hundred years ago, it's not just the usual suspects. The latest victim was the golden girl of a local high school; rich, popular, head cheerleader, Senior class president, and top of her class she broke the profile the cops had created. These deaths, that have yet to have been ruled murder or suicide, reveal a dark side to this once harmless cult that raises questions. What is the aim of this cult; to revenge those hung over three hundred years ago? Or is it something more sinister? Why are these people dying? Were they trying to leave? Or something else? In an attempt to answer these questions, police are hiring students at the local university and high school to join and feed them information. Meanwhile, a few cult members are turning their backs and slipping the cops details that they know. A system started a month ago, now these spies are turning on the police, suddenly loyal members to what they once wanted to bring down. What happened?
