nikole will be maroon karissa will be purple amber will be navy mercury will be green alexus will be hot pink
it was a stormy day in miami, florida. the weather forcasts all spoke about a rainy day, and nasty weather. most were advised to stay indoors if they wanted to remain dry, but to anyone in the florida sun, they were use to it. the weather changed quickly, and quite frankly, no real florida native could stay inside. while there were clouds overhead, there was still warmth in the air, and that left everyone hustling and bustling about. there were even people lounging on the beaches. as a woman walked by the lifeguard stand, she peered up at the gray colored sky. were those...funnel clouds she saw? what in the hell? after getting the lifeguard's attention, she pointed them out. using the radio to tune in, he called the local news station and spoke to the weather newscaster. after some chit chat, she soon went onto the air to issue a warning. "good afternoon miami residents. right now we are issuing a hurricane warning. as funnel clouds roll in, we suggest everyone to find proper housing, and to get out of the way if at all possible. i repeat, a hurricane is headed straight for miami, florida area, and to keep everyone safe we're asking that you take refuge." after that, the lifeguard blew his whistle, telling everyone to take cover, and evacuate the beach. thirty minutes later, a hurricane struck miami, tearing down houses, buildings, throwing cars, killing about a couple dozen people, and injured hundreds more. this is the aftermath of that attack.
i'm wet... that's all nikole could think of as she moved her body. everything felt heavy, and she was drenched from head to toe. a single line of blood trickled down her face as she barely remembered being in her father's office at the biltmore hotel. when the hurricane struck, windows had busted, and things were sent flying around. but thankfully, her father had built the hotel to withstand travesties like this. so instead, it was just a minor whirlwind, but one that had knocked her off her feet. pulling herself up to a sitting position, her eyes just washed over the walls taking in every single inch of what was left of the office. there was water damage galore, broken windows, trash littered everywhere. she didn't even know where to begin. wanting to call out, nikki's voice was weak. her head was pounding, and she felt like her eyes were just going to droop shut any moment. if someone didn't find her or help her... she'd fall asleep with a more than obvious concussion. feeling the blackness approaching, she just wanted to give in.
it was her day off, and when the huriccane had hit, kari had been out shopping. only now she was holed up at the community center locked away with others trying to seek refuge underground to keep out from mother nature's angry path. it was a horrible feeling as she sat on a cot twirling her blonde locks around her slender fingers. she had family out there, her sisters were there. lydia had chosen such a great time to come back to town. now instead of just jaelyn, her little sister was in danger as well. not to even mention their parents. not that they mattered as much to karissa as her sisters did. licking her lips, she held onto her black over shirt, and glanced down at her clothes, the clock on her tank top reminded her of time. it was always ticking away. things like this made her remember that in a way she was taking time for granted, taking life for granted. it was a shame really. and with that, she felt a hand on her shoulder. turning around, she raised an amuse brow at the person. "wow, didn't expect to see you of all people here."
this was the upside of living in a shitty apartment. all amber had experienced throughout this entire messed up ordeal was the rain. it started and didn't stop until reports came in that it had passed. a sigh of relief escaped her lips, and even then, she was worried. about her aunt. and.. begrudgingly, about noah. noah conners was in florida these days, and that meant he was probably somewhere out there right now. the sidewalks were a little wet, but the sun was starting to break through the clouds letting out little patches of warmth once again. it seemed that even mother nature had her abusive moments, but she made up for it with the help of old mr. sunshine. pushing away from the wall, amber slid her apartment key into her pocket, exited, locked up, and then made her way downstairs and outside. it smelled like grass, rain, and oranges. a light smile graced her face. she was wearing shorts and a tank top, clothing that let her scars shine like fireworks on the fourth of july. only today, she didn't give a damn. as she wandered a bit down the block, she sunk down onto a bench and watched as the patches of wet concrete dried slowly. everything was fascinating to her, because it always proved her wrong. pulling her knees up to her chest, she rested her chin on them and just basked in the glow of the sun and breathed in the freshness of the rain.
"ouch! FUCKING DAMNIT!" mercy's voice filtered out of some enclosed pathway. nothing remembering what happened, she could only remember going to meet kaleb and her daughter. it wasn't too far from their house, and while they lived sort of close to the beach, the two had dubbed it to be fine to meet at. reports still said it was nothing but rain, she neither were pacing quite yet. however things must have taken a turn for the worse as mercy tried to walk and nearly fell on her ass. throbbing pain shot through her right ankle. "shit!" while she was sober, the girl still had a mouth on her. only when she was by herself or out of earshot from children. poking at it, the skin was tender, and the muscles were sore, she felt a lump. it was definitely broken. shuddering in complete dread, she looked up at a bit of light she saw. stairs.. she was at the bottom of a set of stairs. a feeling of hopelessness enveloped her. getting up them would be nearly impossible with a broken ankle. it meant she'd had to use all her upper body strength, and sadly that was the one thing mercury didn't have. it was always her weakeness, but before now, she'd never really needed it. banging her head against the wall, she tried remembering exactly where she was but couldn't pinpoint it from memory. grinding her teeth in frustration, she hated this. she felt out of control, and worst of all. mercy feared for her daughter's safety, and her life. "HELP! SOMEONE, HELP MEEE! HELLO? CAN ANYONE HEAR ME? HELP!!!" screaming pleadingly, she just hoped that someone could hear her. anyone?
"c'mon children move along. we need to stay together now. come on." helping some kids across the street to the shelter, aleus found herself staring down the street, straight ahead was the beach, with its beachfront properties, and businesses. her home was one of them, her apartment. as much as she loved it, she knew that it was gone now. destroyed. all she could do was help with the rebuilding and hope that she could move back in. though a part ofher felt defeated. being the governor's daughter, people looked to her for advice. but she couldn't give it. there was nothing for her to say. it wasn't like she was a guru, or a fortune teller. this was all some freak natural disaster. it wasn't the first time. the last major hurricane had struck louisiana. hurricane katrina had done impeccable damage. damage that couldn't be fixed. only this time, things had hit closer to home. closer tahn most could imagine. lexi knew that if she lost anyone this time, she couldn't live with herself. it was all too damn real, the loss, the pain, the destruction. the sirens; all of it. frantically, she went searching. through the ordeal, she'd misplaced her purse, which held her cell phone. the reception may not have been good, but to reach her family just to check in.. that was all she needed. grabbing some strange man's hand passing by, she pleaded. "sir, do you have a phone? just a phone. i need to call my family. please?" in her eyes were tears, from her underlying fear, fear that she let consume her unknowingly. fear she wouldn't dare admit to another soul.

"A STORM'S COMING, AND MIAMI, YOU'RE RIGHT SMACK IN THE MIDDLE ."
blood. there was just too much blood. lydia's head was throbbing, in pain of course. a stray tear slid from her cheek and she brushed it away, eyes darting to the clock on the dashboard. it was cracked. fuck, she thought to herself. just moments ago she was driving to her sister's house, which sister? where was she? god, it was all a blur. eyes closed, heart breaking, and there was nothing she could do about it. lydia forced her eyes open, her surroundings all a blur. thankfully, the door to the drivers side was not crushed in, so she could get out, she needed to get out. with all the force she could manage up... lydia pushed the car door open and she tumbled out onto the wet ground. a cry of pain escaped from her lips, but there was nothing she could do. "karissa!!!!! jaelyn............ jason," she screamed out. "someone help me, please." the fear, the panic, the worry....she couldn't wait for it all to end.
a hurricane? really, really now? this was just perfect.. his new boat would be ruined and everything else he and his father owned at sea. zachary harper paced the floors of his home, which was perfectly safe and built to withstand such heavy impacts. the thunder rumbled outside, lighting striking all around him, but he was safe. there was no worry about his family either because their homes were just as safe as his. shaking off his thoughts, he glanced around his home. he sighed and trailed off, relinquishing the emotions he was feeling moments ago, "just..think good thoughts, we can beat this." he said out loud, but he was quickly interrupted by the familiar sound of his ringtone. ~ ~ ~ "hello?" he answered. "... jenna? are you okay?"
the community center was the only place she had to go. jillian's apartment was certainly not strong enough to defend her from this storm. she sat bundled up, in her favorite jacket that was damp and cold. the distant chatter of scared locals and the news cast rang in her ears. this was all just annoying, stupid and perfect timing. all she needed in her life was the bill to pay for the damages to her car, platinum plus and everything else. she sighed under her breath, glancing around for a familiar face, but no one she knew was here, or so she thought. jillian adjusted her jacket.. attempting to gain even a little of heat. she didn't want to be here and didn't want this hurricane to carry on. she wanted to go home. all hope was lost until she spotted him, standing their with her in his arms. jillian was blushing, but it was barely noticeable with the damp strands of her dark brown hair in her face. cut it out, jillian! now is not the time.
daniel grabbed desirae's hand, dragging her down with him under the table. who knew something like this was going to happen. people screamed in the distance, rain poured in around them. this hurricane was not showing mercy to anyone. daniel glanced around desirae and observed the surroundings, or what was left of it. many people did as he did and ducked under the sturdy tables, while others took refuge under bars. the roof to gotham steak had decided to cave in: this allowed all the water to fall right into the restaurant. "DESIRAE, we need to get out of here, NOW!" he screamed to his beautiful date. daniel had just gotten this huge promotion and was celebrating with her. god had hated him. with a panicked look upon his face, he locked his fingers with hers, glancing at her for a moment. "we can get through this, i promise," he mumbled. one could only hope.
elena sat up in the hospital bed, eyes attached to the tv screen. "a hurricane?" she asked the nearby nurse. she replied, nodding her head and dropping elena's information board back in its spot, before leaving. she peeled her eyes from the screen and dropped her head to glance at her swollen stomach. her precious baby boy would be safe with her in this hospital. how bad could it be, right? just when she thought she was alone... a slight knock was at her door.
lydia tags anyone. zachary tags jenna. jillian tags greyson. daniel tags desirae. elena tags anyone.

Never in her life time did Jenna think she’d be caught in a Hurricane. Growing up in Newark kept her sheltered from most big bodies of water. The only problems she had to deal with in Newark were the violence problems. As she sat in her room, curled in the corner with her head tucked in her knees, she was fairly sure she’d rather deal with the violence problem than have to go through this hurricane business all over again. Though sitting in the corner probably wasn’t the safest thing to do, since picture frames and parts of the wall came tumbling down around her, she was too shaken up to try and move herself. The very home she worked so hard to pay for each month was now nothingness and she was sure insurance wasn’t going to do anything for her. So now she was going to have to worry about not only college and rent, but also trying to pay for some repairs on her apartment. A shaky sigh left her lips as she pulled her head up and glanced around the room. Fuck…everything was just trashed. Slowly she pulled herself up onto her feet and shakily tried to wipe the debris that clung to her outfit. With little to no success on her part she gave up and tried to maneuver herself around the broken glass and wood that littered the floor of her bedroom. Her eyes gazed across the room, trying to find her laptop. If her paper was gone she’d most likely find the first piece of glass she could and kill herself. It was over twenty pages long and counting. This paper was either all or nothing for her grade and she needed the great grade for some more scholarship money. She held her breath as she moved towards the laptop. The screen had a crack on it, and she winced when she pulled it to her form. The screen turned on….and her paper was okay. A sigh of relief escaped her lips as she quickly saved the paper and gingerly shut the laptop. Now she had to make sure Ryleigh was okay…She headed into the kitchen and had to hold back a gasp. The laundry Ryleigh had done just a couple of days ago was thrown all across the kitchen ripped and torn. Oh Ryleigh was not going to like that one bit. She shuffled through debris and found her phone. She flipped it open and found Ryleigh had tried to get a hold of her. She listened to the voicemail and almost let out a soft chuckle. Ryleigh was demanding that she get her skinny little ass to the shelter as soon as possible. Too bad it was impossible. She was already stuck at home and she wasn’t sure she’d be able to get out anytime soon. She maneuvered around the broken bits of house and got back into her bedroom. She went into the bathroom and tenderly wiped at the little cuts she had acquired while protecting her head from falling objects. She bit at her lip and looked down at her phone. She had this feeling in her stomach, she was worrying about someone else too but she wasn’t sure if she should call him. It wasn’t like they were friends or anything...and that was the reason she was holding back. Yet, unlike most guys she knew he felt different, even if he did go to a strip club sometimes. With a grunt of frustration she picked up the phone and quickly dialed the phone. She didn’t have the nerve to put his number in her phone book, so she had memorized it while staring at it with confused eyes. She impatiently looked in the mirror as she wanted for him to pick up. “Zach?” she said hoarsely when he heard his voice. Of wow, she sounded terrible. She moved the phone away from her and cleared her voice quickly and brought it back to her ear just as he asked how she was doing. “I...yeah. I’m fine…Are you?” She asked timidly looking away from the mirror. “I…just wanted to call and make sure you were okay..." So now she was out of things to stay and she felt stupid. Awesome. Why had she called him in the first place? Now she just sounded like an idiot, not to mention weird for calling him. She sighed softly and sat on the floor, waiting for the soothing sound of his voice. occ; my attempt at something short. :/

ronnie is slate blue. jaelyn is pale violet red. kaleb is sea green. desirae is purple. nathan is royal blue. tyler is cadet blue. what the hell had just happened? there wasn't a lot of warning on the hurricane that had just hit miami, and if there was, then ronnie avalon heard nothing about it. where was she even heading..? off to work? she assumed she was, but the last ten minutes were all a complete blur to her. her breathing was heavy, and as she opened her hazel eyes, she soon realized why. the hurricane had flipped her car. ronnie's silver car was currently on the other side of the road, obviously rolling a few times due to the rain. her seat belt pinched her skin as she hung there. with all her strength, ronnie reached down to her seatbelt and un-did it, falling down onto the roof of her car, the part she never thought she'd be laying on. she winced in pain as she landed. the rain was still falling down as ronnie's hazel eyes gazed around, observing everything that was near her. she could faintly hear people frantically screaming and yelling in the distance, but it was just too hard to focus on it. ronnie slowly closed her eyes as she touched her forehead, before re-opening her eyes seconds later as she brought her hand down to view what had been trickling down her face. blood. she had must've hit her head hard on the steering wheel, or something, while her car had been flipping. or maybe she got struck with some glass. she wasn't so sure, and at the moment she didn't care. ronnie was just tired. she just wanted to close her eyes, and that's just what she did. instead of trying to pull herself out of her car, she just closed her eyes, letting out a deep, shaky breath.
the downside of living in miami? the stupid fucking hurricane's that could happen. jaelyn kelsi vanderbilt had always been afraid of hurricane's, and now that one had actually hit miami with her in it..well, it just wasn't working out well for her. after hearing about the funnel clouds that were appearing, jaelyn instantly started to panic. she didn't handle situation's like this very well. she just ended up worrying too much. about her friends, her family..her sisters. oh god, what had happened to her sisters? she didn't even want to think of any of the possibilities of what could of happened to them. jae knew that the two of them were extremely smart, so she was hoping that they would of done the right thing and got out of the angry path of mother nature. jaelyn on the other hand? she didn't have time to go anywhere. it had been her day off, so she was planning on doing some cleaning in her house. she didn't get far though, since she headed for her basement as soon as she heard the warnings. they were saying that if you had nowhere to go, then to head to the community center as soon as possible. fuck that. jaelyn wasn't going to get into her car and drive ten minutes to the community centerer. she might of got hit by the stupid hurricane by doing that, and there was no way in hell jaelyn was going to risk that. her hair was wet as she exited out of her house, pain in her eyes. her neighbors house was completely destroyed, along with several other houses down her street. but, there stood jaelyn's, completely sturdy...as if nothing had hit it. she felt guilty inside and she wasn't even sure why. jaelyn's blue eyes gazed around, landing on someone who was currently sitting on the curb. she ran a hand through her wavy hair, before quickly walking over to him. "hey..are you okay?"
it took several minutes for kaleb atwood to process what had happened just minutes before; a hurricane. he was huddled in the corner of his basement, his body covering his four year old daughter, mikaela, making sure nothing was going to touch her. he heard her silently whimper. he knew that she was terrified. then again, so was he. he didn't think that he would ever experience something like this. kaleb bent down and picked his daughter up, before heading up the stairs. the hurricane was over, and kaleb was terrified to see what the outcome was of it. he gazed around his house, most of it seeming quite damp. his back porch had been completely ripped off, and he wasn't exactly sure as to where it had went. kaleb quickly kissed his daughter on the head as he went outside. that's when it had hit him; where the fuck was mercury? she was suppose to be coming by to see mikaela, but then the hurricane had hit. kaleb instantly started to think the worst. he gazed around, his eyes landing on his neighbors. "hey, mr. roberts. i know, it's last minute, and it's not the best time to be asking this. but..can you just watch kaela for a few minutes? my..friend was suppose to be coming over, but then the storm hit..and..i don't know where she is and i-" the older man had cut him off and just nodded in response. kaleb let out a sigh of relief, before setting mikaela on the ground. "i'll only be a few minutes. i promise. i'm just going to go find..i'm just going to go find your mom, and i'll bring her back here. okay?" he gave his daughter a small smile, before quickly kissing her on top of the head. it seemed like he had been searching for mercy for hours, but it had only been at least five minutes. kaleb had been running up and down the streets on the route mercury usually took on the way to his house, but he couldn't seem to find her. "MERCY!" kaleb shouted, hoping that he would hear her. and, that's exactly what had happened."HELP! SOMEONE, HELP MEEE! HELLO? CAN ANYONE HEAR ME? HELP!!!" kaleb quickly ran towards the source of the voice, only to find mercury on the ground, her leg broken. "oh my god, mercy. i'm so sorry." he wasn't exactly sure what he was apologizing for, but he just knew he hated seeing her like this. she was the last person that deserved pain like this. "are you okay? we..we need to get you to the hospital!"
having a hurricane interrupt your first date with a guy who you really liked was pretty high up on the scale of horrible date stories. desirae reeves wasn't even sure what the hell had just happened. daniel and her were having a good time, laughing, joking around with each other, and finding out a lot of things that they didn't know about each other. the next thing she knew, rough wind and heavy rain poured through the fancy restaurant. a few of the front windows had shattered, which brought fear onto desirae's face. daniel quickly grabbed onto her hand and pulled her underneath the table. desirae couldn't even find the words to respond to daniel as he stated that they needed to get out of there. instead, she just nodded continuously, scared out of her mind. how the hell were the going to get out of here when water was rushing through the restaurant, thanks to the roof collapsing in on them. she let out a deep breath as she heard people around her screaming, slowly closing her eyes. they were definitely not helping the situation, or making desirae's stomach feel better about everything that was currently going. she slowly opened her hazel eyes when she felt daniel hold onto her hand. she gripped onto his hand, letting out a small sigh, trying her best to block out everything else that was going on. desirae slowly nodded. she had several people break their promises. most didn't even try to keep them, but she knew for a fact that his promise was the truth. they were going though this, and they were going to get out of there. "i trust you..but oh god, i just hope that we do." desirae tried her best to hide the fear that kept creeping on her face as she gazed over at daniel, before observing her surroundings, trying to find a safe way out of the restaurant.
parts of aerobar were crashing in around him, especially in the back. nathan prescott wasn't even sure why he decided to come to work today, especially since their had been warnings about the hurricane. but, he was safe and that's all that mattered to him at the moment. he didn't plan on leaving the closed club until he was sure the hurricane was over. the front of the club was pretty sturdy, so nathan tried to get several people on the streets to rush in before mother nature decided to do it's worst. he let out a loud sigh, running a hand quickly through his hair as he gazed around at the several people who were still panicked about the disaster that had happened several minutes before. nathan wasn't even sure what to do at the moment. he wasn't good at handling situations like this. "uh, is everyone okay?" he asked, not sure what he would do if someone wasn't. "does anyone need a drink? cause..i'm pretty sure that i'm going to need one pretty soon," he muttered, not sure if anyone had heard him.
yeah, a hurricane was definitely a great 'welcome home' present. maybe it was just a sign that he should of stayed in las vegas, away from the ocean and his parents, instead of forcing his girlfriend to move back to miami with him. oh god, keira. she must of been freaking out. tyler had just stepped out to go and speak to someone and told her that he would be back in an hour, two hours tops. tyler grumbled to himself as he ran a hand through his hair. his hazel eyes gazed around the community centerer. he had been rushed in here by several people, but now all he wanted to was to leave and get back to his house to make sure his girlfriend. he shook his head, heading towards the door, pushing it open, instantly frowning at the rain and wind that greeted him. "for fucks sake!" tyler shouted, before taking his cell phone out of his jean pocket. he quickly dialed keira's cell phone number, only to get her voice mail. pain shot through him as he began to think of the worst. nathan kept telling himself that she was alright. she just had to be. he quickly shoved his phone back into his jean pocket and ran down the sidewalk, before accidentally bumping into someone and almost knocking them over. "god, i'm so sorry." tyler quickly apologized.

dakota is fire brick. noah is slate blue. mckenzie is forest green. mason is orange red. gracelynn is blue violet.
This was nothing new for Dakota Woods, living in Miami her whole life she had lived through way too many storms to even begin to count. The Woods family lived in a modest looking house away from the beach so they didn't get hit hard at all. Just a bunch of rain that Kota didn't really care much about. The eighteen year old loved the rain to be honest and she could dance around in it all day. "Mom I'm going outside!" Dakota had no idea where she was going to go but throughout the entire storm she had been huddled close to her family due to her mother freaking out and thinking they were going to die, she needed some space. There was chaos in the streets, torn signs, and people trying to clean up their yards. Stupid Mother Nature. It was like Dakota was at a shopping mall because she couldn't keep her eyes on where she was going, there was too much around her to watch and see. "Woah, oops sorry!" The brunette ran her hands through her hair as an apologetic look came over her face. Way to not pay attention Dakota! It would be her luck to run into someone, and someone from school at that. "Wait, don't we have a class together?" Dakota already knew the answer to that question, his name was Austen and he was the new kid at school. Honestly Kota had been trying to come up with a way to talk to him since he moved there. He was beyond adorable.
Noah Conners tried to stay in his dorm room throughout the storm but he didn't want to. He had never experienced anything like it, living in New York most of his life he only had a few snow storms here and there but he had always loved the rain. Noah, much to everyone's dismay, spent most of the storm standing outside letting the wind whip his clothing around him. Though he was enjoying every minute of it, he couldn't help but to worry about Amberlin. From what Noah had seen of the younger girls apartment, it didn't exactly look safe but then again he wasn't sure how close it actually was from the storm. As soon as it seemed rain was the only thing left, he made his way to Amber's knowing she probably wouldn't want to see him anyway. His car crawled closer to the apartment but he went slow to look at the damage around her place. It wasn't too bad so hopefully that meant she was okay. It wasn't long until he saw the seventeen year old on a bench so he got out of his car and made his way to where she sat. "I'm taking it that you're alright? Seeing as you're crazy enough to sit out here." A smile lit up his face just looking at her. Things would be perfect if somehow she could just open to him again like she had when they were kids.
"What the hell?" That was the first thought going through Mckenzie's head as she opened her eyes. All she remembered was a bunch of crashing noises and loud wind. Kenz looked around and noticed that she was in the Surf Shack. Oh yeah, she was at work when a storm had hit. She wanted to leave but when she had opened the door the rain was too heavy and she never would have been able to get home. The place was wrecked. "Oh no," Mckenzie stood up, she wasn't hurt just a little shaken up, but the shack looked like a tornado had actually hit right in the store. Kenz moved around the store, trying to clean up as best she can but it still looked horrible. Running her hand through her hair, she made her way to the door. Pushing it hard she winced. Why wouldn't it open? The brunette ran to the window and looked out side, something was blocking the door, just great. Hopefully someone would come find her, her family knew she was at work right? Instead of waiting around for someone to come save her she reached for her phone and dialed Bently's number. "Hey Bent, it's Kenzie. I'm at the shack and i'm kinda...locked in?" Mckenzie tried to remain calm but her voice was shaking. How was she going to get out of here?
Mason made his way outside of his parents house, taking in all the damage around him. The house had been hit hard but the Bradley family was fine for the most part. Mason's shoulder hurt like a bitch but other than that he was okay. Walking up the street further he noticed a crashed car and he instantly sprinted to it. "Hey anyone in there?" He turned to the drivers side of the car and saw someone he recognized crawling out of the car. "Shit, Lydia are you okay?" He knelt down next to the girl. They had only met once when they went bowling together but she was still a friend and it was obvious she needed help. "C'mon you're alright, come here," Mase lifted the younger girl off the ground and walked her over to a bench on the sidewalk. "Do you need an ambulance?"
Of the few years Gracelynn had lived in Miami, this was the first big storm that had ever occurred and she definitely was not prepared for it. Gracie's car was in the shop so she had been walking home from work, not she she mind really. The fresh air was a welcoming break from her stuffy office and all she needed was to slip out of her heels and put on her comfy running shoes. The rain had been aggravating of course but none of that had mattered when she slipped on some mud and fell on the concrete, twisting her wrist. Could it be broken? "Stupid rain," Grace had always hated any thing mother nature threw at her. After arriving home and switching clothes, she made her way back outside to see if there was any bus service going to the hospital. Her wrist throbbed and she looked down at it once more and grabbed onto it, trying not to cry. Grace had never had a broken bone in her entire life and it was quite possible she was walking around Miami with a broken wrist. "Ow!" She yelled without meaning it when someone had bumped into her, causing her to hit her wrist once again as she tried to regain her balance. Gracelynn looked up at the person who had ran into her and her face softened. "No, no it's fine." Part of her wanted to believe she was imagining it and that wasn't actually Tyler standing right in front of her but there was no denying it. "Hey tyler.." A smile crawled onto her face as she looked him up and down. He hadn't changed a bit.

greyson is forest green keira is maroon austen is blue this was definitely the worst environment grey could raise his daughter in. he knew the dangers of living in florida. he had been raised in miami his whole life up until the point when he left almost three years ago. if it was his choice he'd be anywhere else but it wasn't that simple. it was inevitable that after everything he had gone threw in the past nine months, his parents house was the only place greyson could go to raise jayden. staring at the large cut across his two year old's forehead, grey started to regret coming back home. luckily he was more worried about the wound than his daughter. in fact being slugged in the face by a piece of debris didn't seem to faze jayden in the slightest bit. and once they reached the community center, grey was able to obtain first aid attention before things got worse. greyson let out a loud sigh as he gazed around the crowded area for failure faces. he stopped once his eyes locked on a failure face staring at him. gripping jayden tightly, he walked over. "hey jillian, are you ok?"
the storm warning hadn't been announced until after tyler left the house. keira had been watching the news all morning, having nothing better to do as she sat around the house by herself. adrenaline rushed threw her blood as she watched the front door, just waiting for him boy friend to come home. after an hour she began to worry. the weather was getting worse outside. she didn't have to look, she could just hear it. all her life keira had resided inland. she didn't have to deal with such natural disaster, aside from the occasional tornado. the blond rushed to the house phone and placed the receiver against her ear, hearing nothing. "damnit." she dug threw her purse and pulled out her cell phone only to notice that it was dead. not like she'd get service anyway. having no other option, keira grabbed the big comforter from the bed and went into the bathroom. she climbed into the empty bathtub and cradled herself underneath the blanket.
austen had been on the move his entire life. moving city to the next. he had been to every corner of the country but never had he come encountered with a natural disaster. it was more intriguing than frightening for aj. he was more interested in being in the middle of it, to observe the whole. maybe he could turn it into some sort of science project. either way he didn't want stay in doors. luckily his mother wasn't in town to stop him from walking into danger. in his area, aj could walk the streets unharmed. his home laid on the outskirts of the storm. so he pressed on down the streets and further into town. he was eager to get to the eye of the storm and his eagerness caused him to be clumsy. "no my fault. im sorry." he blurted out quickly before looking up at who he had ran into to. his face flushed once he recognized the girl. they indeed did have class together but he only nodded his head. aj had social issues, especially when it came to girls.

was this shit really all happening? kendra couldn't quite wrap her finger around it, she had lived in miami her entire life and nearly twenty two years later she was living through something as scary as this? things in town were getting too crazy for her now, kendra had been thinking about jetting off for a few weeks, just to get away from everything and everyone. but kendra also wasn't the type of person to run away, but at the same time the time share in hawaii that her parents had did sound like a really nice escape currently. especially now that this crazy storm was hitting. kendra was trapped at the tattoo parlor, on the busiest day of the week, this all had to go down? the power killed all too quickly, and with the dark walls of the parlor, it seemed the building was darker then that of what it should of been. the tourists began to freak out, kendra's boss and the shop owner began to go on a rampage, and kendra just sat in her chair, her tattoo gun on the floor now. part of kendra wanted to cry, but she knew better then that. she saw tears as a sign of nothing but weakness, and it had been five years now since kendra had last cried. though, when her and her ex alexus had broken up kendra had a lot of emotional fighting to do to not cry, she had really cared about alexus. that was now so long ago it seemed, but yet at the same time kendra could of sworn it had just been the day before at the same time. kendra snapped out of her daze when she felt her manager grab her arm and pull her from her work chair. the long dark hair whipped around as kendra was pulled into a back room. her manager was pancking, she never saw rudy as the type of man to panic. he was always so calm, always so collected. kendra swore that this had to be a dream, but when she looked out into the lobby and saw the room full of crying, scared people.... there was too much pain going on for this not to be real. --------------- bently had promised himself he'd quit smoking after him and kenzie had decided to try things out in a relationship, a relationship that was going to serve to be difficult. keeping a secret of his feelings for his emotions was easy, but now they'd have to both put up an even bigger front then before. from then on out it would be walking on egg shells, the wrong move and both would be in some serious trouble. but right now the possibility of getting caught, the fact that he was supposed to be quitting didnt matter. a nasty storm was hitting, and bently slightly lost his cool. he had stayed at his apartment, it needed some cleaning. when bently realized what had happened, he paniced terribly and couldnt control the craving of a joint, a little less then half through and bently found his phone going off. it was kenzie, he knew he was in deep shit now. bent knew he could fake his soberness over the phone, he wasn't one of those people who was stupid and obnoxious. "kenz, whats..." bently stopped speaking as his girlfriend began to speak, she was stuck at the sruf shack. his bright eyes widened, and he felt his body go tense. was he always going to have to rescue her? not that he minded, but she seemed to be good at getting herself in sticky situations. "i'll be there in five minutes, stay away from the windows babe. go hide under the desk, this weather can't be trusted." bently hung up the phone, put his joint out and went to getting what he needed. bently grabbed two jackets and his car keys then ran outside. instead of his over sized truck, bently had his jeep at the apartment. it was better not to have something lifted with this weather anyway. bently didnt obey any traffic laws as he raced to his surf shack, he didnt care. not that anyone was out to stop him. bently saw that the front door was open, and there was no getting in. grabbing the tool box from the back of the jeep, bently pulled out a hammer and headed for the windom on the opposing side of the building. the glass shattered, and bently did his best to clear out the shattered pieces. jackets and bently moved carefully through the broken window, then plopped down on the hard wood floors. carefully he made his way to the desk, being sure not to startle kenz. the bright eyed boy knelt down behind the desk, and there was mckenzie. "you're not hurt are you?' bently began to scan her open skin, clothing for any sign of blood or injury. --------------- notes: bently - kenzie kendra - open.[/sub][/blockquote][/blockquote]

the hurricane had come out of nowhere. well, that probably wasn't true, but no one had suspected a hurricane to erupt out of the mixture of dark rain clouds and sunshine in the miami skyline. caleb had been on his way to his parents house to drop off sebastian from school. he'd been given only a half hour for lunch this time, as his father's campaign had begun to heat up for the following political race. normally, caleb's mother would've picked up her grandson at school, but gracie, caleb's three year old daughter, had been sick that day and so caleb had to do it. he didn't mind of course, but as he drove he began to see the clouds become darker and more ominous. but what he saw next scared him the most: funnel clouds. "fuck." he thought calmly to himself as to not scare his son in the backseat. what had happened next was all a blur. when he woke up, he saw his son passed out in the backseat, a small gash about six inches was on his head with dried blood. immediately caleb jumped out of the driver's seat and rushed to his son's side. after spending what seemed like days at the hospital's emergency room, sebastian was finally admitted. the gash on his forehead was simply that: a gash. it looked far worse than it really did. but, being six years old, the doctors had decided they would keep him overnight for observation. the only problem was the fact that everyone and then some had been paraded into th hospital and there were almost no vacant rooms. but, being the son of the governor did have its advantages; even if caleb hated pulling that card. but it was his son they were talking about. knocking softly on the door, caleb pushed it open to find a woman and a vacant bed. "here! there's an empty bed!" caleb demanded as he watched the nurse roll the stretcher onto the bed next to the woman. after things had settled down and sebastian had gone back to sleep, caleb realized that he had all but barged into the women's room. he smiled at her and ran his fingers through his dirty blond hair. "hope that bed's not for anyone in particular. it's a madhouse out there." he said as an offering of 'sorry i stole your bed.'
CALEB TAGS ELENA. WEARING: this, but it's rather disheveled at this point.
