New Frontier takes place several years after the events of HGSS and Team Rocket has entered another hiatus where they are in hiding, most likely plotting - but, more importantly, coming up with a New Leader as Giovanni has forsaken his work with Team Rocket and Apollo has seemed to have moved on, disappearing almost completely. People believe they aspire to steal the Legendary Pokemon for their own sick gain, but for now the Citizens of Kanto and Johto resume their peaceful lives, but are always paranoid of what might be lurking in the dark...
