Rain. Again. What a surprise.
Robin was running through this very fancy street. She didn’t know the name of it, and she didn’t care about it as well. For another time she was escaping her mother’s wedding plans. Or well, not really her plans, but how she tried to involve Robin into the crazy ideas she kept having.
Robin Avery Aarons’ mother was one of those who liked to marry. Or well, even if she maybe didn’t like it all that much, she still did it more often than most other things in her life. Talking about ‘extraordinary’ things here, of course.
And today, for like the tenth time, her mother had again tried to get Robin into one of those fancy dress shops. She was planning her newest wedding with a guy Robin still couldn’t remember the name of and he was some super-rich business man. Robin didn’t like him a lot, he was snobby and stuck-up, and didn’t respect her ‘alternate’ way of living. She was a bit of a punk, and a hippie… But definitely not normal. She also was a teenager, and teenagers sometimes did go a bit too far, with almost everything, and he just couldn’t understand it.
So, not willing to be her mother’s victim today, Robin had simply run away when getting off the car, and had never put one foot into the dress shop. It had been a good idea, even if she had some problems with her pretty high heels her mother had forced her to wear and the dress now. White silk didn’t like rain all too much. And it seemed like the sky was about to empty itself completely. The rain was getting worse and worse, but Robin kept running. She wasn’t safe yet.
Her mother probably wouldn’t care enough to actually follow her, but Robin definitely wasn’t going to risk anything just now.
When she got around a corner, still running and already breathing hardly, she suddenly felt herself bump into something big. Or well, it probably wasn’t a thing, but a person. Slowly Robin moved her chin upward, to look into the face of the human she had just ran into. A boy.
