Edward was ignoring the conversation going on between Jasper and Emmett for the most part, simply because it was completely pointless. He had to admit that how much Emmett wanted to be right compared to how much Jasper didn't care was quite amusing, but it was hard for him to focus on silly arguments with Bella. Not only did he not know what she was thinking, but now more than ever he needed to. He was spending most of his days trying in vain to read Bella's mind because of the whole situation with Jacob. His 'parents' had repeatedly assured him that if Bella was going to leave she would have left by now, but he wasn't so sure, and the worry was beginning to take it's toll on him, and his entire family was beginning to notice. He tried not to worry them, but he was becoming a bit obsessive about the whole thing.
His right arm was wrapped around Bella's shoulders, holding her protectively at his side, and his other arm was reaching across his body and resting on Bella's thigh. He always had this protective demeanor around her as if, Jacob was going to bust in and steal her away from him, and although he was fairly certain Jacob wasn't that stupid you never did know with Jacob. But, as he was admiring Bella's beautiful face, as he often found himself doing, Jasper caught his eye and Edward couldn't help but smile. Jasper was providing a spectacular amount of entertainment at Emmett's expense. Looking away from Jasper after a brief moment He turned his attention back to Bella with a smile. He knew all these public displays of affection often bothered his family, mostly Rose, but he'd taught himself not to care. His lips brushed against her cheek and he pulled her slightly closer to him, "I love you." He whispered in her ear.
As Jasper brought up a new topic of conversation Edward moved away from Bella and inch or two so that he could turn and face everyone else. He was about to respond to Jasper's comment, but Rosalie beat him to the punch, and he felt Bella recoil in his arms as Rose spoke. His teeth began grinding together as he listened to Rose speak. She really wasn't trying nearly as hard as she should have been to make this easy for everyone. She was certainly not trying as hard as everyone else. "Yes, Rose," He began trying to keep his anger under control. He was tired of Rosalie making Bella feel unwelcome. "It's quite nice to have the entire family together. It's hard since some of us insist on being so stuck up, isn't it?" He said knowing his words were going to make Rose's blood boil, and enjoying that fact very much.
He turned back to Bella and frowned slightly. "I'm sorry you have to feel so uncomfortable." He said and pulled her closer before looking over to Alice. "Alice, can you see if anywhere in the near future Rose will get that stick out of her ass?" He ask shooting a glare toward Rose before chuckling slightly. He found himself quite funny.
NOTE: THIS IS SUPER CRAPPY BECAUSE I'M IN A RUSH AND THE ONLY SITE I COULD GET TO ANYMORE WAS A TWILIGHT ONE I WAS ON AGES AGO D:
