I'M NOT EASY TO PLEASE IM'MA TEAR YOU APART told you from the start baby from the start - - - - - month one - the marriage. they were a happy couple, all smiles and pretty much falling over each other laughing. they took walks down the miami beach after he finished work and met her at the school gates. they'd met through mutual friends. the perfect little fairytale couple. everyone said they were perfect, that they looked amazing together and oh! how sweet their children would be. they giggled it off. they weren't thinking that far. how insane was that. all that mattered was that they were happy and that was the end of that. was it love, it was close it enough and so that was good enough for them.
month two - the honeymoon. the blissful days just kept getting better. weekends in bed. sleepless nights. messy hair. sweaty bodies. breakfast for lunch, lunch for dinner, then dessert all night long again. monday rolled around and getting dressed for work was hard. playful fights over staying just five more minutes. calling in sick here and there just to mess around a little more. homecooked meals the nights one of them could be bothered cooking, fancy and romantic restaurants for the nights where they just could care less. plans for weekends in the mountains, or off in new york. promises of shopping sprees and activities like visiting the zoo or something only insanely almost in love people did.
month three - the divorce. fights constantly. the only good thing about them was the make up sex afterwards, but even that had a certain element of anger to it. anger that just wouldn't go away. not that they were particularly angry, just frustrated. sick of each other perhaps. or just finding all the right buttons to push. lines appeared, belongings slowly drifted back to their respective owner's apartments. she wanted something, he didn't think she needed it. she thought he was being unreasonable, he thought he had every right. things got messy. three months. done. finished. thank the lord it wasn't a real marriage.
six months down the track, they were... who knew what exactly the pair were to each other. they were still in frequent contact, still at each other's throats when possible. if they both hadn't wanted it, someone could probably sue for harrassment the way their love-hate relationship always found a way to get up being physical. honestly, the line between whether or not they were on good or bad terms were blurring more and more as each week went by. cali kept calling him, or emailing, or iming with some new item of his he had to go pick up. seriously, he considered getting his locks changed, perhaps she had a copy of the key to his apartment and kept taking things to make him come. just the other day she had one of his shirts. that time he'd been lucky enough to escape going to her and had her come into work. unfortunately, he neglected how he pretty much lived at work anyhow, and they ended up in one of the empty hotel rooms. then he found himself agreeing to going to some bonfire at the beach with her. how in the world did he get himself into these messes? then again, could one truly blame him? he was just a guy. just a simple guy. and cali... well, she was cali. sexy, saltry, crazy cali. and in a way, despite however much he may try, they had had something.
so here he was. on the beach. in a simple black t-shirt and jeans, with admittedly one of the most amazing girls in his life. though, that wasn't to say much, after all, jude had no shortage of amazing girls in his life. he'd lived his whole life surrounded by amazing girls. but still, cali was amazing nonetheless; regardless of whether or not he'd ever admit to it. "so what did you want me here so bad for?" he leaned into her ear and asked her inquisitively. a single brow raised just for the dramatic effect it might bring.

t he empire of california had one fault. the empire that made her the woman of every man's dreams. she could seemingly tantalize and intoxicate any man into her grasp. the spanish beauty had always been on of those sorts; not only alluring with her body, but with her words, her attitude, her essence. like clay, her whole being was molded into a sculpture of desire. this she could do very well, almost with ease she would seep into your system. yes, this empire of beauty, sex, and desire had a fault. a weakness that could break down her walls. she was still a girl, not a statue, a living and breathing girl; one whirlwind of a girl at that. cali was insecure, angry, lost, and affectionate. any man can attach themselves to her seductive mentality, but the ones that connected to the puppy wearing the lion costume got her, and she would stay, like a puppy to an owner.
j ude fitz connected with all of california. flaws and all. the more she fell for him the more he became her fault. he became her weak spot. every intentional or unnoticed jab he made at her broke down her fortress and pushed her away. california enjoyed his protective tendencies, she felt guarded and safe; although the coldness didn't seem to stop with the interested man. it became her fault, despite the fact that it might have been, her illogical thoughts took it horribly wrong. california was jolted. she didn't feel like her. she felt sick towards the end. it was the right guy, at the right time. austin torres caught cali in a lapse of judgment and a lack of happiness. they slept together. she wasn't caught and he didn't find out from the rumor mills. she told him of her infidelity, and they did what she hoped wouldn't come. they broke up, and she bounced back, like she always seemed to to.
o ver the span of time the tension slowly lifted between the two. the raw feelings of their past stayed, but they became more content with each other's presence. they began a fling after they had separated from their marriage. filled with passion, lust, and anger, the sex began animalistic and rough. her need for him and his anger towards her made passionate scenes of sex. slowly she returned to herself around him; bold and confident. although still agressive, their hook ups weren't as dangerously emotionally hightened and, unfortunately, lacked the same degree of sexual explosion that was expressed. it was well worth is as they became more cordial with each other. since their break up their freaquency in contact only slightly wavered.
s ince their last rondezvous they agreed to go to a bonfire together, and there they were, together, at the bonfire. the atmosphere completely calmed her, and now she was once again herself around him. the spaniard-made doll smiled as he asked his question. "to have a little fun, play a few games," she said in response. her attention was already elsewhere. she noticed a handsome familiar face, walked past jude as if he wasn't there, and flipped her switches. their conversation carried on, until he asked her to dance. he led her to the group of dancing people. as she walked away she looked back at jude with a smirk. they moved their bodies to the rhythm that pulsed through the speakers. playfully the two grinded and laughed, having a good time.

I'M NOT EASY TO PLEASE IM'MA TEAR YOU APART told you from the start baby from the start - - - - - they had only dated for three months. three months that could have easily been a lifetime, or at least it had all the elements of a lifetime thrown in. but thank the lord it had not, had it been a lifetime things probably wouldn't be the way they were now. they would have been hard, much harder. they proabbly woudln't be talking, let alone anywhere near each other. no way would their past frustrations be released through those intimate moments they had every once in a while. but most of all, this wouldn't have been anywhere near as fun.
with the pressure gone, the two seemed so much more... free. they were able to accept each other more openly. take things more lightly. or at least jude was. perhaps that was a fault of his. taking things too seriously once he'd committed to them. usually he was so easy-going, laidback. like now, he could hardly give a damn about how cali had dragged him here only to walk away and flaunt her more dazzling disposition to the world. or at least whoever in miami that had bothered to turn up for this event.
after a couple of drinks, he caught yet another sneaky glance from cali. she was challenging him. pushing him. and he was going to rise up to it. mischevious grin spread over his lips as he sat himself down amongst a small group of women. "evening ladies." his easy charm, sweet smile gained his acceptance. the exagerated english accent played its part all too well. near six years in miami and his accent was fading but jude had always found it a good party trick of sorts to tug at when the time called upon it.
it was hard to say that cali wasn't the kind of girl that jude usually dated. if only because it seemed like he didn't quite have a type. unless female and slightly crazy was a type; in which case that pretty much covered every kind of girl that existed. one could claim that almost every girl he had a relationship with was relatively attractive but in a place like miami and working where he did, it was pretty hard not to meet fairly physically attractive females. honestly, jude was almost too relaxed about who he had any sort of relationship with and how far it all went. after all everyone had the potential to be the one, how could he know if he didn't give them a chance? perhaps cali had been a little different. or maybe things had changed. clearly he couldn't have expected too much from her after three months, but still he'd thought there had been... something. something that might have come from a monogomous relationship. obviously it hadn't worked out. he couldn't quite explain when or how or what triggered the chain of events to proceed the way they had. nor could he quite be bothered trying to work it out, that was a job for the psychologists if he even needed them.
at present, things were good enough they were. it might have been nicer had his relationship with cali worked out but at the same time, they were both probably in a better place where they were now. in fact, the easy dynamics of their current mixed up friendship slash whatever it was they were doing, probably suited them a heck of a lot better. "drinks anyone? what can i get you?"
as far as he knew, booze was on the house which meant he was willing to grab anything they wished for. he wasn't exactly tight with money but he'd learnt that prudence wasn't a bad idea if he wanted to maintain his particular lifestyle. after the barrage of requests were made, he shot cali another look while he stood to make his way over to the make shift bar, jude flashed a playful smile. game on.tagged: california amor. status: complete. song: taio cruz - break your heart. xD outfit: try to evade it.notes: rather rushed it, not my best. sorry.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
