YOUR FIRE IS BURNING MY MIND
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There was a plastic card in Vivienne's hand that had all of the information on it that she needed. It was her picture on it but the birthday that it listed was nowhere near the truth. It said that she was three years older than she really was, which was all apart of the plan. She hadn't planned to go out tonight until she realized that she didn't want to spend all weekend in her room studying for the incredibly hard calculus exam that was coming up soon. She didn't want to be stupid and fail the test but she didn't relish being locked indoors. One little night was not going to hurt anything because she wasn't going to be able to concentrate anyway, if she was stuck in her room doing that crap. Oh, she valued her education as much as the next teenager, it was easy to see. As long as she graduated, that was all that mattered to her. She wasn't planning to go to some prestigious college so she wasn't striving to be on honors or any of the special classes that the smartest people were in.
She just wanted to live in the moment right now and that meant going to a really hot club with a fake i.d. so that she'd not only be able to get into it, but get drinks as well. She knew how much she would be boned, screwed and whatever else you wanted to call it if someone found out about the fake card she was going to show to them at the front door and at the bar. But that was something about her that was not hard to establish upon meeting her; she didn't care about taking a risk. She would have rather taken a risk to be in a spot that she liked and could have fun at instead of moping around, trying to control her bored attitude. Vivienne got bored easily, if something didn't catch her attention and manage to hold onto it well enough. She could zone out and be thinking about something totally different then what you were telling her, if she didn't really want to hear what you had to say. Some people called it rude but she called it a way to keep from being suicidal. The last thing she needed was to be bored or listen to someone talk to her about boring things.
A couple of friends from Viv's high school were by her side with the i.d.'s in their hands as well. They had gotten lucky that Louise's brother knew how to do all this illegal crap and was willing to make the cards for them. She didn't know how much she was planning to have to drink tonight but this was a just in case kind of thing. The wind blew her hair off of her face and she reached up to smooth it down, flashing a smile at her friends. They were all in the mood to party tonight, although she suspected that they would all three go their separate ways once they found someone to dance with or someone to buy drinks for them. She didn't have anything specific that she was looking to have happen tonight, she just wanted to dance and have fun and ignore the drunk guys that tried to grab her butt. It didn't bother her one bit, because she knew how horny they could be. Heck, she knew how horny she herself could be. God, that sounded really bad coming from an eighteen year old girl that was still in her last year of high school.
She moved up in the line when everyone else did, getting ever closer to the people that checked the i.d.'s and more importantly, the inside of the bar. It might have just been her imagination but she could already smell the alcohol inside the place, along with the different scents of people all mixed into one. That and the cold air was coming out of the door as she stepped up, handing over her i.d. with a cute little smile, as if it would mask the fact that she was actually eighteen instead of twenty one. It was probably overdoing it a bit but she sure as heck was not going to stand up there looking all suspicious like, as if she was really doing something wrong. The entire time, she was holding her breath, half expecting for him to turn her away or see right through the fake card but he just ushered her along and she didn't stop to wait and see if her friends had made it in as well. Once she hit the inside of it, she was already swept into the music, the lights and people. It seemed nearly impossible to come here and not have a good time, unless you were an absolute prude. And Vivienne most definitely was not.
