That sounds fine. Ty would probably already have the hots for her, but he's smart enough to know that you have to take it slower with some girls (and in his case, guys too, but he doesn't out himself about that) than with others. Tyler is seven years Gem's senior, but we can at least thread them together. I'm pretty much open to whatever, really. I was thinking of someplace public where they could meet, like the beach or the Starbucks. Which one of those would work for you? And, if either of those work, I could start something for us. (The choice would really matter whether Gem would want to see Ty with his shirt off--as it would be at the beach--or not. )

Yeah he is much older than her but there has been people who date other people who are much younger than them, so it doesn't matter or we could say she lies about her age to him?

I'm cool with whatever you want to do in regards to Gem knowing that he has the hots for her. As for Tyler, he wouldn't be bothered that she loved her best friend, because he would think that he could get her for himself in the long run, or that Gem would choose him over her best friend, etc.

Yeah, I'm fine with a random IM thread first. We can always do an RP thread with them later. I actually have an open IM thread started here that no one has responded to yet, so if you want to reply to that, we can go from there.

well, definite enemies. connor is a complete dick. which is justification enough for anyone to not like him. however, connor has taken a particular liking to messing with miss gem. her current predicament has left him with an easy target to ridicule. so yeah, i'm pretty sure she won't like him. if anything, she'll probably hate him. and well, connor thinks he's too good to really give a damn either way about anyone. so he'd probably just laugh her off.

i was also thinking, they could be cousins or something. he was never really around him parents or in there home when he was growing up ( he was too busy being out on the streets), and his family never really kept up with extended family. not that connor knows of anyway. maybe like, they somehow find out they are family. i could see them having this slow developing relationship where he basically contends that he doesn't give a damn if she's family, and still treats her like crap. but slowly, they start to get along in small ways. he could start becoming sort of protective of her. depending on how long this thing with niah is going to happen, he could be constantly telling her to give up on the boy. maybe he's the one she goes to when she realizes for good that niah isn't interested? then he'd be sort of awkwardly comforting her and being all, "i'll go kick his ass. do you wan't me to got kick his ass? cause i can..."'''

Yeah he could be like maybe finding it a bit hard to be comforting and help and maybe at first he tries to block her out but maybe he gets the feel of family maybe? And he changes his mind a little but he is finding it hard?

yeah, that sounds about right. connor has never really had to watch out for anyone but himself. he'd never had to deal with being comforting and such. so i think it would be a changed that would be hard for him to make. however, he'd be more subjective to taking on that role for gem, seeing as how he's about to learn he's a father. being a parent is going to make him have to start doing things he's never done, and being there for someone else is one of them. so yeah, basically, they find out. i don't know how yet. he still treats her like crap. then he slowly begins to treat her more like family.
