Her hazel eyes scanned Harry's green ones for a moment. All the confusion and nervousness was building up inside of her, which wasn't good. Looking at the waitress she smiled, "That'll be it." Rafferty grinned at the waitress turned and left the table. Her eyes looked back at Harry. She could tell something was bother him, she didn't know what, but she assumed it was Ginny. It seemed that everytime the two of them were together, Ginny had always become topic of conversation. Even though Harry would never use her name or anything, Rafferty wasn't at all stupid she knew who he was talking about.
Smiling, Rafferty licked her lips to clear them of dryness. Taking a deep breath, she stood from the booth as if she was going to leave. Looking down at Harry, she smiled. "Excuse me." She pushed her chair in. "Ladies room." She smiled, assuring Harry that she wasn't ditching out on the date she just had to go to the little girls room. Though she didn't have to use the bathroom, she just needed to calm herself down and some nice cold water would help that situation. Winking at Harry lightly, she turned and walked away towards the bathroom. The only thing that sucked was that she had to walk past Theodore to get to it. She took a deep breath and contunied to walk towards it.
Rafferty tried to stay focused. She didn't want to look at Theodore like an idiot, nor did she want to stop and ask what the hell he was doing her. 'Rafi, it is a free country and their isn't no sign that says Theodore Nott isn't aloud in her.' Those were just some of the thoughts that seemed to be building up in her head. Taking another breath, she neared Theodore, keeping her eyes directly infront of her, for fear that if she would look at him, she would lose it. As she finally reached him, she took another deep breath, she couldn't help herself, she had to look at him.
Turning her head a bit, she caught sight of his eyes. Oh how Rafferty longed to look into those eyes again. She scanned him for a moment as she kept walking, then quicking turned away. 'Rafferty Rydell. You need to stop it not. Don't let it get to far ahead of you. He turned you down. He shattered your dreams, your heart, your life. He deserves no one, not even you.' Thoughts swirled around in her head fastily. Sighing once more, she picked her pace up a little bit before hse flung her hands into the door and emerged into the bathroom.
Walking over to the sink, she placed her hands on each side of it. She looked up into the mirror soon enough to see the tears start to fall from her eyes. Great, not she was making a completely idiot of herself. How was it that one guy, just one single guy could make her just fall about in a matter of second. There was no denying it. Why didn't she just tell Harry the truth? Why didn't she let him know her problems? Considering that Harry and Rafferty's problems were similar, she was sure he would understand. It was clear that the two of them were on this date to help get over the past. Over past lovers, if thats what you wanted to call it.
Turning the cold water on, Rafferty let it drain into her cupped hands, then splashed it on her face. "Pull yourself together girl." She spoke outloud, but softly to herself. Splashing some more water on her face, she grabbed a paper towel and gently dabbed off the water. Looking into the mirror once more, she had to make sure it didn't look like she was crying. Then again, she was kind of froozen in her spot. There was no way she was going to be able to go back out right now, it would be impossible. She just need to relax for a moment, to get the thought of having to walk past Theodore again out of her mind. Maybe if she took off in a bit of a ran, she wouldn't have to notice him. Yeah right, she would notice him anyways.
Sighing, she took a deep breath. Maybe Rafferty should just call it off now. Maybe it would be best. It didn't really matter, no matter what someone was going to get hurt in the end. If she ended it now and explain everything to Harry, maybe he would understand and not hate her. The could do it again another time, when he head was on straight or whenever they knew that neither Theodore nor Ginny woudl show up to spoil the moment. Looking at herself in the mirror once again, she cotunied to think. Rafi just didn't know what to do anyone. Her heart was confusing the hell out of her. Most of the time she would listen to her heart. Other times she would just to whatever was in her head.
At this point in time, her heart was telling her that she needed to tell Harry everything. That she needed to let him now how she felt about Theodore and that it would be best if they just remained good friends for now. It would be best if they could set up this date another time. Or change it and just meet at the lake that evening. Rafferty sighed, contuning to look at herself in the mirror, but her mind was telling her differently. It was telling her to just go back out and let it blow over. Forget about Theodore, he don't care, Harry does.
"OH STOP IT!" Rafferty shouted a bit as the voices in her head contunied to agrue. Turning the water back on, she splashed her face a bit more. Taking another deep breath, she turned it off and dried her face once more. It was a moment of truth. Listen to her heart, like she had done many times before and it always ended badly. Or listen to her mind. What was the worst that could happen. Either way she was either going to lose a friend, a lover, or her mind. Biting her bottom lip, Rafferty didn't leave the bathroom, she hadn't been in her long had she? Sighing she sat down on the bench that leaned up against the wall. She just wanted to relax, more like she needed to relax before she went back to the table and Harry.
Right now, Rafferty found it better that she spend a couple of minutes away from Harry. Or better yet out of the view of Theodore. It was all confusion in her head. Half of is said try Theodore again and the other half was telling her to give up on him and let Harry have ago. 'Don't cry, Don't cry.' she thought to herself once more. Whatever she did, she knew it would be the right decision. She knew it would be impossible to mess this up badly right? The last thing she wanted to do was lose the friendship of him. Harry was the one guy she could just go to and talk the night away with.
