so it's official. proboards is cracking down on the TOS, and while that doesn't mean too much of a dent in our board, it's still one that's kind of annoying. basically, anything past pg-13 rating will get us in a lot of trouble and the board deleted. meaning, no sex threads, extreme acts of violence or drug use may be roleplayed out. i know it's kind of lame, but we love MMH so we want to keep it around. so from tonight on out, no more threads like this. if you currently have one going, well... i'd suggest making a new thread without it because we have to delete all threads like this to protect MMH's status.

this also means no PM's can be sent to fulfill those threads. my only suggestion is to take it to an IM or an email or something. but it can in no way be on the forum.

i don't think it's worth it to create a board just so people can play out their smut posts. it's just as easy to RP through e-mail or other places outside of PBs. it just doesn't matter that much.

Yeah I know. It's just that when you have a sex or drug addict that you're trying to play out, it helps to have a board.

yeahhh, i agree with eric. besides, if there are people who don't want to see those kinds of posts, emails even better for it. because i do think that linking to another forum for it isn't far off from it being on the forum, you know? emails are in now way attached to us, and others can't view them. only the two rpers who are using it can.

oh and eric, you can reply to these kinds of threads. in fact, i wish more people did so i know they've been read.

I like the idea of roleplaying them out through email. I mean, one of my characters is a stripper, so the new crack-down kind of kills her character. maybe we could all create free accounts with our character names at GMail or something so we're all in a central location?

i don't see why you guys think this kills your characters. don't you know what a pg-13 rating is? it still means you can cop a feel - you just can't do the whole shebang. you can roleplay your stripper without getting into specifics of how she's shaking her ta-tas in some man's face & he's stuffing bills down her panties. it just can't be graphic - just implied. as for a drug addict & dealer, same goes there. don't be like "I'M SELLING YOU CRACK, YO" but rather, "you got the money? here's the stuff."

it's not that difficult to mold around this rule. besides, it's not like PBs is changing anything - it's always been in their rules. it's just now they're cracking down.

uh no. xD you can't do pm's either, summer. they're cracking down on that too. So if they want to go into detail, email is the only way. But, i personally think that this doesn't really effect your characters. I have a character that's a stripper and a slut. am i worried? no. They'll stay the same, without all the detail.
