Back in nineteen twelve a man by the name of Archie Sexton started
what is known as the Sexton Seaside Hotels & Suites chain. The very
first hotel was located in Los Angeles, California. It started out as just a
bed and breakfast but fifty years later it became a full-fledged hotel. It
was under Archie Sexton’s son’s control at that time and he did what he
had to so he could expand the business. Like most business in that
time it was handed down from father to the oldest son so eventually
Archie’s son had to hand over the business to his son and so it went on.
In this generation there were no males though and there wasn’t only one
person set to inherit the family business. Nope this time it was a set of
identical twin girls, the daughters of Jameson and Cristina Sexton.
Sometime after the printing press was invented the first branch of
Sutherland Publishing House was started in Beaufort, North Carolina.
The founder was a man by the name of Alexander Sutherland and loved
written works. The first year was hard and Alexander tried to spread the
word as much as could and find people to work for him, he never gave
up on his dream. Eventually he had the staff he was looking for and
things went along great until the stock market crash in nineteen
twenty-nine. When the economy was better everyone was rehired at SPH
and new people joined the team. Like the Sexton Hotel chain
Sutherland Publishing was always run by a male. Ten years ago however
SPH got its first heiresses and they too are sisters. Not that long ago
the publishing house heiresses found out they had a cousin in Cabo San
Lucas and that there used to be a branch of Sutherland Publishing
there. Now they have come to re open the publishing house and to be
the legal guardians of their new found cousin.
A hundred years ago, a wealthy family of Dover, Delaware founded
'Seamoore Lodge' Inn. The place ran quite well until the 1929 when the
family lost everything with the fall of the stock market. The family
managed to barely keep the Inn alive until the end of World War II until
they were able to find a good buyer. Michel Bradshaw had no special
expectations from the Inn when he purchased it in the early fifties but in
the period of over fifty years, the Bradshaws have build an incredible
branch of hotels from that small charming Inn in Dover. The franchise
has just been handed down to William Bradshaw, Michael's grandson who
is taking a incredibly bold move - moving from the east cost which has
been their own little empire of hotels and expanding to the west coast
where there is strong competition already waiting for him. Cabo San
Lucas is his first project which happens to be the headquarters of the
Sexton Hotels & Suits. And who knows, maybe with the little help of his
sister taking care of the marketing, Sexton will start to worry.
